Director/actor Jon Favreau, famous for portraying Happy Hogan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has a new show in which he invites on celebrity friends to cook with him. The Chef Show, as its called, premiered June 7 on Netflix, and the first episode features none other than Pepper Potts actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

While the cooking is fun, there’s a specific moment in the segment where Paltrow has a sudden realization about her Marvel Studios career – she was in a Spider-Man movie.

That’s right – she seems to have forgotten (or perhaps ever even known) that the scene in which Tony Stark and Pepper Potts hold a press conference to announce Spider-Man as an Avenger took place in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Here’s the clip, courtesy of Twitter user Jarrett Wieselman:

“We started doing it when we were filming [Spider-Man: Homecoming],” Favreau, who appeared alongside Paltrow in the film, explained of the start of his cooking career.

“Spider-Man?” asks Paltrow, puzzled, as Favreau tries to convince her that yes, they both in fact appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming. “No, I was in Avengers.” Paltrow did appear in several Avengers movies as Pepper Potts, including this year’s Avengers: Endgame.

“Remember, at the end, Tom Holland’s there and you’re gonna walk out and do a press conference?” Favreau explains.

“That was Spider-Man?!?” laughs Paltrow.

While it’s easy to pin that mistake on Paltrow, the interesting implication is that Marvel Studios productions often overlap filming certain scenes. Given the massive number of actors that their stories rely on, it makes sense that there could be situations in which they’d film a cameo for one movie during the session for another, based on the availability of the actors.

Favreau next appears as Happy Hogan in July 2’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.
