Syfy has balked at any new seasons of Deadly Class and Happy!, however the shows are being shopped around to other broadcast homes. First reported by Deadline, both are based on Image Comics titles – Deadly Class by Rick Remender and Wes Craig, and Happy! by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson.

“It is true. But we’re not done yet,” Remender tweeted Tuesday evening. “If you loved the show make some noise this week as we work on a new network. Thanks to everyone who loved the show and supported us.”

Happy!‘s second season ended on May 29, and is produced by Syfy’s sister company Universal Cable Productions. Deadly Class‘ debut season ended in March, and was co-produced by UCP and Sony Pictures Television.

Deadline reports that Netflix “would be a natural home for” Happy! due to high streaming numbers.

For Deadly Class, the Hollywood trade reports that while ratings were strong the fact that the show is partly owned by an outside party (Sony) making it less viable for the network.
